Chapter - 2

The “Theory for Permanent World Peace” (TPWP) can be applied in our lives in four stages. It can completely change our society in the process. Here we will discuss how it is possible.

To start with we can apply the “Theory of Permanent World Peace” (TPWP) effectively in case of various local issues. If we can follow it properly, small problems in life can be eradicated. The confrontation in a family is one such problem which starts from a small issue, finishes in magnitude and becomes beyond control. If we can feel that the first step towards peace is mutual love, we will love the Earth and keep her close to our heart, then many good habits will find a place to remove bad ones. Once we feel the immense perseverance of the Earth to make sure its existence for millions of years, we will feel regards, love and emotions towards her. We should come to realise that the Earth has been taking the pain to bear the burden of the entire human and animal world by exposing all her beauty and resources to us. But we only enjoy and exploit her and never do we bother to conserve her.

We should feel ashamed on ourselves. None other than the human being does harm the nature. The animals only take from nature what they need for their bare subsistence. But we, the civilised and the best creatures of nature shamefully make full use of and derive all benefits from nature.

A little bird carries a seed from the fruit of which a tree is born. The bird contributes towards the greenery of the world. But it does not need anybody to let it understand the implication. Lots of money and efforts are spent to make us understand the basics. By the grace of the Mother Earth, man is the best creature. If we can acquire even a small fraction of patience of what Mother Earth has, we may be compassionate and sympathetic towards others. ‘Love’ protects from vices like jealousy and narrowness. A smiling face generates a solution. Thus, good relationships will prevail among neighbours, every house will be transformed into a peaceful one. Our love for neighbours will refrain us from doing harm to them. We will make sure that ambience around us is clean and pollution-free. It will create a hearty relation with everyone around us. Peace and healthy relations will create a sense of values and that will be the heart-line of the society. The Implementation of the “Theory of permanent World Peace” will start from that point.

Now come to the second step. Implementation of the “Theory of permanent World Peace” in the aspects of Province or State. When ‘TPWP’ operates successfully in our houses, among neighbours, in our localities, certain good habits seem to have already existed then. This includes the cleanliness of roads and our surroundings. If the world is home and we are its tenants, then we have not only to enjoy our stay but also to take care of it. Caring also means the conservation of water resources. Very often we open the roadside water tap, take water and keep it open, not taking the trouble of closing it. This ultimately causes a huge wastage of water. At this moment we are in danger for the water level of the Earth getting lower and lower. If we do not restrict the wastage we may face ill consequences with Mother Earth’s dried up inherent water flows. Water will no longer be ‘life’, we will associate water with death then. Mother Earth is equally kind towards all. Everyone needs water to drink while eating or being thirsty or injured. Man cannot survive without water. Food may be ordinary or exceptional for two persons respectively, but both of them equally need water. For this reason, the Earth is the greatest leveller. To Mother Earth, there is no discrimination between the rich and the poor. She offers equal benefits for our sustenance and when we die we cannot be identified with the soil we get merged into. No dust particle gets an extra advantage from the Mother Earth.

If we are aware of our role of avoiding wastage and encouraging the conservation of water, it may create a positive impact on the economy. Surplus water may be utilised in agriculture, factory and mills, additional expenditure for water may be curtailed, and drought will not happen, price rise for essential commodities will be controlled, consumption power will be enhanced and economic activities for the entire country will be increased. These will ultimately uplift the economy and economic condition of human beings.

In a similar manner, ‘TPWP’ can be applied to a larger aspect of a country for more and more benefits. We cannot accept any sort of damage to our house-made with our lifelong savings. In the same way, if we consider the Earth and its natural, water or mineral resources as our own, we will utilise them properly and maintain them with proper care. In the process, agriculture and small and large industries will grow with the help of our belief and sense of love. Two pillars of the economy - agriculture and industry - with their enhancement will strengthen the economy resulting in the increase in the industrial development index. Only then we will be the parts of any development effort whole-heartedly because we will then believe that the Earth is a symbol of love, trust and purity. The virtues of Mother Earth will be reflected through us and that will be the justification of ‘TPWP’.

Now the application of ‘TPWP’ across the International Sphere. War is a common phenomenon among countries. This is a result of dominating and encroaching attitude along with the sense of superiority. No fighting country will admit but this is true. Everyone justifies his own logic. Famous writer Stephen Leacock observes that we never win over anybody because we consider only our own logic as justified one.

Now what happens when a country captures another? The wealth and resources of the captured country are taken by power and freedom demolished. People of defeated countries feel vengeance and revengeful. And violence goes on and on. Manpower perishes, the economy gets ruined and both the countries suffer immensely. Instead of budget for priority sectors like education, health, agriculture, industry, defence budget goes up. People get scared of war, start hoarding essential commodities; artificial scarcity takes place and inflation becomes inevitable. The Economy crumbles resulting in an increase of the volume of debts to the World Bank and the weapon-selling countries.

Vicious cycle of loan and expenditure grasps the economy of developing or underdeveloped countries.  National wealth and the burden of loan become disproportionate. Development planning and programs get hampered. Safety and security of countries face danger. And a child is born with his share of loan in the country's total loan. Only ‘TPWP’ can rescue the countries from such situations. Following ‘TPWP’ if a country keeps itself busy with priority sector development, if it emphasizes on conservation of natural and water resources, if it engages itself in the fulfillment of basic needs and building of a pollution-free, value-based society, then the constructive attitude would prevail, hatred and vengeance towards other countries will be non-existent.
Again, every religion teaches us to show respect to other religions. ‘Love and Respect' is the key to every religion. Here comes the essence of ‘TPWP’. By applying it people of every religion will come to realise that the false vanity of superiority of one religion over others and the resultant violence and bloodshed are absolutely unnecessary, if the Earth is not liveable for mankind there is no use of fighting with each other. The evolution of the Earth has taken place through ages. Natural disasters demolished mankind and prehistoric animals. In spite of several severe widespread human, material, economic or environmental losses, Mother Earth has once again come out with her own generosity and endurance.

Sometimes people with ill intentions declare the end of the world on a certain point of time. They predict like divine prophecy. Some are carried away with this sort of prediction. But they forget the power and greatness of Mother Earth. Human civilisation has done a lot of harm to her. The more it caused the harm the more she has revealed Her beauty and kindness. Very often we use the term ‘beastly’ denoting anything cruel. But animals restrict their activities into their basic needs only. Never they are greedy, power-hankering and as destructive as human beings are. Every creature of the Mother Earth has the right to live. An insect or a butterfly or a bird has equal right to survive as human beings. The Mother Earth is their last resort too. When a man will realise this, he will take care of everything around him. By this he will then serve his country properly. We know serving one’s country leads to serving the world.
