Chapter - 1

I have started staying in this rented house at Sydney, Australia for the last few days and since then I have been trying to get familiar with the things around, gradually. My most favourite place of the house is a small balcony. After the day-long drudgery and exhaustion when I stand here with a cup of coffee, I feel like gulping down my fatigue with every sip of it. From here I rediscover the horizon everyday to find how the distant sky merges with the Earth. I see and wonder whether there is any sort of pact behind this apparent merger of sky and land. It seems there is none unlike two companies or two countries who are very often restrained with conditions and treaties among themselves - be it written or unwritten. But the eternal mingling of the sky and the Earth’s surface are not tied with conditions or agreements. Thus they do not face any breach of contract or the resultant pain thereof. It often appears to my mind that the Earth with all its rivers, mountains, forests, oceans and the beauty of nature, its resources and treasure in the form of minerals, gas etc, has wide opened itself before us. And has rendered all its benevolence to fulfill us. There is no condition, no agreement and no breach of contract anywhere in this charity. We possess, we enjoy benefits from our best friend and we ignore and torture, in return.

Now and then we feel moved, we shed tears for immortal friendship while going through fables, stories and novels. We wish we could get such friends in our lives. This is indeed hypocrisy as we pretend to appreciate and feel and in reality, we do not. Are we real believers of the saying – “A friend in need is a friend indeed”? Perhaps not because in real life we ignore and neglect our best friend who serves our needs unconditionally and ceaselessly and it is none other than the Earth. Perhaps we do not have the depth in our mind yet to realise the broadness of Mother Earth and her immense love for us. It is also true that to be able to love someone great demands preparing one’s own mind to excel. With this soliloquy, an idea occurs to me that can’t we find a way that may reach us nearest to the Earth? I feel that since we are born on the Earth and till we die here, we live happily, we enjoy comforts and all these are by means of earthly elements. Irrespective of our caste, creed and wealth we all perish in the soil of the Earth at the end.

It means that even if our entire life-cycle takes place on the Earth, we have failed to feel the bonding with her. So we have to find out a method that would ensure the mental connection between men and the Earth. When we will be able to recognise the Earth as our closest relation, then only peace will prevail. Because then we will feel concerned and caring for nature and its preservation. No one then will dare to destroy nature. No country will then think of encroaching on others. And then everybody will try their best to protect nature and its wealth. If we realise that the religion of the Earth and the love for the Earth is the best religion, then the vehement effort to prove the superiority of one religion over others will be reduced. As a result, violence will be decreased. We all are aware of the innumerable rampage, destruction and loss of lives and natural resources in the name of religion for thousands of years. To mitigate this curse, to unite the whole Universe and to establish peace around the world, there is only one solution – “Permanent Peace for the World”.

Loving the Earth is the impetus of human beings to keep their surroundings clean and pollution-free. Love for own country and care for natural and mineral resources will also be an automatic outcome of it. When man will be able to love the Earth with all its beauty and wealth, his mind will be serene, his thoughts will be intense. And then his decisions will be firm and towards welfare. Thinking good for others will be easier and reciprocal. A total ambience of good thinking and love will come into being. The common practice of encroaching others’ land, damaging government properties and so on will come to an end if one can realise that he is also part of it. We pay tax to build or maintain them. Our elected representatives work on our behalf. In this way, a healthy sense of possession will grow that would protect narrow undesirables. Thinking in this manner will change the entire economic scenario of the country. Because when a big project comes out – be it a bridge, be it a national highway – it would be free from corruption in all aspects, once that sense of possession prevails among everyone.

We build our dwelling houses with a strong foundation to make it last long and safe. It indicates our concern for the safety of our family members and the proper utilisation of our invested money as well. For longevity and security, we prefer to use the right raw materials like brick, cement, iron, etc. Otherwise, it will invite risks of damage and thereby further expenditure and even loss of lives of our near ones. Similarly, if a bridge or a road breaks down within a short period, a lot of money will once again be required to reconstruct. This will come out an additional expenditure that might otherwise be incurred in the priority sections of health, education or any other emergency services. We should know that this money is ours and its proper utilisation is necessary. It can be made out only through Permanent Peace for World Solution and its application in our day-to-day material lives.

I nurtured the thought within me and started sharing with my friends and acquaintances. They were not convinced easily but gradually they were attracted with my realisation. Slowly people were showing interest and I was getting calls to deliver a speech before eager listeners. A lot of people wanted to know more about the “Theory of Permanent World Peace”.

I wrote a letter to His Holiness Dalai Lama informing him of my works and thoughts. I was highly inspired to get his reply where he had blessed me and had expressed his desire to see my initiative to include the thought from primary to university level of education. He had wished me for my inclination to unite all the human beings of the world. I was deeply encouraged and at once decided my points of action to express and expand my thoughts in the time to come. The thought for the celebration of the birthday of Mother Earth on 15th January was coined as the “Earth and Art Revolution Day” in 2015 and it was like a seed that would later become a huge tree for millions of solutions to establish the Permanent Peace over the World.
