Chapter - 16

I feel that before the completion of this book, it needs a little more addition. I can remember, it was 2nd September of 2019, I was going to 50, Jawaharlal Nehru Road from Joka, Kolkata, for an urgent meeting, by an Uber Cab. After a while amidst a little bit of conversation, the driver said, look, sir, though we help our passengers in many ways to reach their destination safely, we never get our due respect from our passengers. I felt his pain and said, look, my dear friend; the Earth where we were born, where we live and enjoy everything of this Earth; never ever we care for her! We don’t even have any time to think about her! She is the mother of all living beings and she sacrifices everything with a sweet silence. But we are not at all ready to give honour and respect her; then how can we expect it from each other!

Almost in every profession, we face dishonor and humiliation, every now and then; but once we feel to respect our Mother Earth then there shall be no dishonour, humiliation, and hatred all the way. Hearing me, his emotions became uncontrollable and he welcomed my words with a broad smile and said, I never heard such a life-changing speech! Now I don’t have any grievance. I am so glad today. Surprisingly, I realized that the Citizens of this Earth are waiting for a magic wand, which will remove the black curtain of ignorance and they will start loving our mother Earth and will find a new way to be happy. In this regard, I must mention another incident which became viral all over the world, a few months ago when the world-famous rain-forest Amazon was on horrible fire and the animals were trying deadly to escape from that fire, that time a Tiger dived into a river and embraced a soldier who was already there. At first, the soldier was panicked as he thought the Tiger must charge him but the Tiger did not show any violence, rather embraced him tightly. The soldier understood, the Tiger thought him a saviour. Watching that scene, millions of people all over the world explained that incident from their own point of view but it stirred my whole existence that when scientists are giving the warning to take care of our Mother Earth and to keep it fresh and unpolluted for us; but we are still very careless about our terrible situation. If a tiger finds his
savior then what’s the problem with us?

How long it will take to find out that our only savior is no one but this is Mother Earth! Here, I must admit that it will be better if these were written in previous chapters, but thoughts come to mind like tidal waves and I believe, wherever the flower of emotion blooms, its fragrance indicates people the right way. Today, I can remember that nice fellow Mr. Sujit Sarkar, the Law-Clerk of Calcutta High Court, who told me to publish a book about my thoughts and ideas. I know he must be happy to see this book. I was restless from the inside ever since the first event of Mother Earth’s birthday in 2017. With the stability of success, my workload also increased. I was thinking that it is not possible to continue the revolution to change people’s habits only through the events. The brighter side of celebrating this day is that people will become much aware and conscious of their instinct, mentality, and behaviour. And gradually they will start loving and caring for Mother Earth.

The rest of the procedures are profound and hectic too. So I was getting mentally prepared. I started to communicate with people from different sectors and places. I had almost lost the social touch with India. One day I thought that, if I can share my concepts and thoughts with the students, then they will help me to spread the “THEORY FOR  PERMANENT WORLD PEACE’’ in the whole world since they have yet not been taken over by the critical ingenuity of the world. Though I know that the family men are much concerned about the financial and social prosperity they are confined in the social complexity.

Even if they want, they cannot come out of these bindings. And if they can overcome and come forward then there can be nothing greater than that. But I have to think of something suitable for the entire world. So, I decided to visit schools, colleges, and universities alone. Later I might get like-minded people who will come and stand by me. I was spending money without holding back. I had no regret for that rather I was happy to be a promoter of Earth. But I could not overlook the financial insecurity which I might face in the future. Since a huge amount of money is required to run a foundation, to continue this revolution. And I had no one from whom I could get the financial support. I was a solo soldier. So this insecurity and uncertainty were killing me from inside.

Moreover, my lifestyle was changing due to the designation which I was had as the director of this foundation. It is easy to live extravagantly but it is hard to discard the minimum ways of comfort. For the last four years, I was not doing any job, so I was not earning money. When I was in New Zealand, I was doing jobs in two shifts. I could not find time to relax or to sleep. One of the workplaces was quite far from my residence. After coming back home I could get a little time to relax and again I had to rush to the next job. I can say that I had taken leave for a maximum of seven days in all those years. I was trying hard to become financially capable.

I have almost touched the lands of twenty-seven countries when I was working in the Shipping Industry. I have stayed in many countries among these. Maintaining a lifestyle in a foreign land is quite expensive but in spite of that I was saving up. This is also a fact that there are many people who want to support me financially but they are helpless for their situations. Many people provided their best possible help. Somewhere they have realised that they are not doing it for me but for Mother Earth. Therefore, it is my humble gratitude towards them who stood by me and I believe that a day will come when the entire nation, the entire world will stand beside me, for Mother Earth.

Let me tell you a funny story, here. Among the known people of Australia, the most calculative person in Australia was Shamim Hossain Kessim, from Bangladesh. He was such a person, who liked to spend even a penny in his way. I don’t actually blame him for this particular thinking because people are becoming self-centered and self-oriented for the different global crises. Shamim Bhai who was never eager to spend money for anyone, hard to believe but true, donated two hundred dollars to our foundation in the event in 2018, 2019 & 2020. According to Indian currency, its value was more or less ten thousand rupees. All it indicates that we are capable of penetrating in people’s thoughts and gaining their trust. So, at last, Shamim Bhai understood that he is spending his very hard-earned money for Mother Earth where he lives. Today, I also share a funny secret with you that once when I was in Australia, within a conversation that guy told me that I beg to differ with you in all respect except this virgin thought “Earth is above all”.

In this regard, I should also mention the name of Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, whom I used to call as Sinhaji; once he saw the whole programme of my activities on my laptop and watched it intensely! At that very moment, he said – you are doing a noble work and I promise to give my best either in coins or in kinds in next year’s birthday celebration of our Mother Earth. Those particular three words, “Our Mother Earth,” (which he never uttered before) sounds so good in my ear and instantly I considered him as a good friend. He sacrificed his lucrative job to serve our Mother Earth and for this regard, he was considered and achieved the award “Great Soldier of Mother Earth, 2019”.

Actually, the great soldier of Mother Earth award of Sinhaji, is an instance to every citizen of the Earth that if we sacrifice a little, then we must go onward slowly but surely to the future, where permanent world peace will be achieved and will be proud to be the citizen of a fight less and fearless Earth. Initially, it was not possible for people to keep trust in me or in my initiatives. Since it is quite common that people come with the intention of doing social work but go wayward and at the same time break the trust of the society. So it was quite natural for them to perceive me in the same way. It was indeed a challenge for me to gain their trust. I am blessed that I have succeeded.

I have stayed for many years in New Zealand. As a citizen, I know their culture and lifestyles. I know how to survive over there. Socialism is very normal but money loans are not very easy. Especially, the people from other countries who acquired citizenship there, are bound to be calculative, I know. In spite of that the people who are coming forward with their help, I have my heartfelt gratitude for them. The more they have trust in this work, the more they will be interested to be a part of this movement as well as a part of this great work. They will take the initiatives to do reform. Only because, I am not alone, they too are the citizens of this Earth.

I have previously mentioned that I used to visit the academic institutions to share my knowledge and experience with the students. In this regard, I was much supported by Abdus Sattar of Plassey. A man should not be judged by his religion and colour in his work field. He should be judged by his effort and knowledge. Abdus Sattar is a ninety years old man. He is a poet and a social worker at the same time. But belonging to another religion he never hesitated to help me in my motive.  He is attached to many things and he always stands beside the artists and helps them in many aspects. Let me introduce you all to Syed Shis Mohammad, a poet, editor, and social worker. He is the son of a famous social worker and poet Sayeed Ahasan Ali. He belongs to such a family, who are not bothered about religion and cast. They welcome people and their talents with open arms and support them in every possible way. A prize is awarded every year in the memory of Sayeed Ahasan Ali. He used to preach among the people that there is only one religion and that is humanity. The rest is a myth. Our beliefs and our worships, all depend on our religions. But there are people who are not limited to these boundations. He was one of them. He used to celebrate Durga Puja and both the Hindus and the Muslims used to take part in it equally. He has been described, by many newspapers, as a citizen, who is a messenger of peace. There are few families, for whom religion is something, apart from the conventional concepts. The citizens of the world live by their own rules.

All the members of their families are attached to literature and art. The first ancestor of the family came from Arab and was the teacher in the court of the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb. When Aurangzeb’s throne was endangered by the conspiracies of his family members, he desired some advisors for his security from the emperor of Arab. Among them, the very talented multilingual person was the ancestor of Shis Mohammad. You might be thinking that why I am writing so much about this family? Therefore I would love to say that this family nailed my thoughts and motives in a fraction of a second. And that was what I expected from them.

Just like this, I got support from many other families too but it is not possible to write about each and everyone in one single book. But I am grateful and thankful for all of them from the bottom of my heart.
Anyways, I continued visiting schools. The schools I covered are in Midnapore:-
Jagatpur S.S.K School
Dwariberia Adarsha Siksha Sadan
Geonkhali N.M. Girls’ High School
Gopalpur High School
Geonkhali High School
SimulberiaJogendra Vidyapith
Srikrishnapur High School
Natshal High School
Deulpota High School
Kumvachak Pallisri Bidyabhaban
Babupur Agricultural High School
Tentulberia S. S. Sikshasadan
Sapuya High School
Sutahata Labanya Prabha Balika Vidyalaya
Lakshya High school

I have plans to visit more Schools, Colleges and Universities. I am sure about one thing that the teachers and the students are commiserative towards my project. I have observed their huge response. Many boys and girls talked to me personally to gain more knowledge about my work. Some of them were so keen to celebrate the birthday of Mother Earth in their own places. I was surprised to see their interests. And I realised that what we think about the students are totally wrong. We think that this generation kids are irresponsible, impulsive, careless, lazy and impractical. But we are wrong. They are looking for the right way of life to live. Maybe sometimes we are not capable of knowing their problems and directly or indirectly force them to take wrong decisions in life.

Visiting schools and spreading knowledge among them was a big success and it inspired me a lot. I was so confident that the seed of the World’s permanent peace is hidden in the core of the students. I can understand that we the guardians believe in wrong concepts. Therefore, I plead to all the guardians that please give a little effort to know your child. It is very important to change our perspectives. This project has taught me many life-lessons and through love, I feel for Mother Earth. I have been inspired to work for the betterment of Mother Earth. Through this, I have developed new views, learned a lot about life, and am still continuing to do so. I have shared my experience so that we can all feel the love of and for Mother Earth and the first step is to know her and acknowledge her.

We can never gain peace by spending millions of money or by fighting with each other. We need to achieve peace and spread love. If we can educate and bring up the students and our new generations in a proper way that they will bloom like flowers and will spread their fragrance in the whole World. Since only the students can possess their individual thoughts
and only they can affirm that

“WE ARE THE CITIZENS OF THE EARTH”.
